CTG is in immediate need of DB2 I/T Migration Specialists for a one year contract with our Fortune 50 customer in Denver, CO and New York City, NY (traveling consultants or local candidates). This role will create and execute migration plans to move existing DB2 installations from UNIX, AIX and Linux platforms to the IBM zLinux platform. The Database Migration Engineer will be required to have the below skills:

• Required Skills: Assembler, C++, MQSeries, Oracle, PERL, SQL, Sybase, TCP/IP, Tivoli, VM, Web Logic, XML, SAP, DB2, AIX/UNIX, Linux. Re-Hosting Database Platforms

• Mainframe, Fortran and REXX skills are a plus (not required)

• Minimum of 2 years experience with DB2 installations and re-hosting experience on AIX, UNIX and Linux.

• All candidates must have strong communication and client relationship skills (Expert Level).

• DB2 - 2-3 years

• Tivoli - 2-3 years

• 100% travel Monday - Friday (NO EXCEPTIONS unless located in Denver, Colorado or New York City, New York).

• Must be willing to work weekends during production cut-overs.

Candidates willing to be located in Denver, Colorado or New York, New York are preferred however candidates located near a major airport and willing to travel 100% Monday through Friday will also be considered. Travel expenses are paid on a reimbursement basis. Hourly pay rates are negotiable. This position is available on a W-2, hourly basis only (no 1099 or Corp to Corp). Third parties do not apply.
