The School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina seeks candidates for a full time faculty position in its Digital Media department. Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree or its equivalent in graphic design or a related field. Experience in Higher education teaching is preferred. Ideal candidates will have several years of professional industry experience. The School seeks educators who will encourage creativity, innovation and process while imparting the practical concepts of the design industry.



Ideal candidates should be generalists with abilities in both print and web media. Candidates should be flexible and able to teach a variety of subjects and levels, including foundation courses. Candidate should be proficient in the full Adobe Creative Suite, and have expertise/knowledge of Website design and development, Interactivity, Typography, Advertising Design, Package Design, Self-Promotion, Poster Design and Portfolio Design. Candidates must be able to provide a portfolio displaying skills in drawing, graphic design, layout, publication and packaging design, as well as on-line portfolio or web sites.
