Through our partnership with Duke University, are seeking a seasoned Java Developer to design and develop Java applications supporting cancer clinical trials. This may include fixes and enhancements to current systems, new system development, and programs necessary to support clinical trial operations. The employee will be responsible for completing development tasks on time, with regard to high quality and security.

Required:

Minimum 2 years Java development
Object-oriented analysis and design
Scripting languages (i.e. Javascript)
Use of J2EE/Java server technologies
development of Java web-based applications (i.e. JSP, Servlets)
Relational databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
Programming SQL queries
Experience working both independently and in a team environment

Preferred:

Some experience with C and C++
Experience with JBoss, EJB 3.0, JSF, Struts, Facelets, Seam
O/R persistence and query engines (i.e. Hibernate)
UML modeling experience
Knowledge of JDK 1.5
Knowledge of laboratory inventory management, including shipping and receiving
