Overall Responsibilities:

Participate in the development and support of strategic intranet and internet software projects with high visibility supporting core business processes globally across the firm.

write software according to given functional requirements.

Contribute to the technical code documentation.

Test Systems (e.g. unit, system, integration, stress, regression, migration)



Functional Responsibilities:

Work closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate into design.

Document solutions.

Work with other IT groups at the firm to configure, implement, and support production.

Migrate legacy applications



Required Skills:

ASP (classic ASP)

COM+

C#

VB.Net

ASP.Net

XML/XSLT

Basic understanding of Databases/able to write basic SQL select statements

Use of the Software Development Life Cycle process

Efficient Coding (i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures, techniques and performance tuning)



Desired Skills:

Web / GUI Front end development

Web Services

Object Oriented design skills

Utilize and develop standards and best practices

Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies

Willingness to learn new businesses and functions

ClearCase or Microsoft Visual Source Safe version control systems
