We are BetterTrades, and we provide a complete education to individuals wishing to learn how to trade stocks and options. BetterTrades offers live workshop events all across the country, as well as through our online classroom platform. Additionally, our students have access to custom-developed software tools to aid them in analyzing and executing their trades, as well as our network of exclusive research and education websites.

We are looking to sign on qualified independant contractors immediately, to fill a number of Tier 1 telephone-based technical support positions. As an independant Tier 1 technical support contractor, you will attend a two week orientation on all of our products and services. After that you will telecommute from your home office and provide first-line technical support for the above mentioned software tools, online classroom platform, and websites.

We're certainly looking for qualified phone-based technical support representatives, but we're particularly interested in speaking with you if you have experience and/or interest in the market. Basic Responsibilities will include:

• Superior Communication Skills: We are looking for technicians who posses clearly developed people-skills and are able to utilize them to control the course of a call from start to finish while providing the highest level of technical support for our clients. We want all of our technicians to be able to resolve a client's issue and have them be thrilled about our support and level of care before we close out the call.
  
• Application Level Support: Our ideal candidate will have experience with all versions of the Windows operating system and have a highly developed troubleshooting methodology which enables them to isolate problems and resolve them in a timely fashion. We are looking for people who understand applications and what they are designed to do and would have no difficulty adapting to a different programs interface. (IE: If you feel that "learning" a different browser interface is an accomplishment, we are not looking for you, do not apply)
  
• Professional Work Environment: As an independent contractor, you will have a tremendous amount of flexibility and be working from your home office. You will be expected to provide a professional experience to every caller. We expect that all the calls will have no background noise and excellent microphone volume and audio clarity. Additionally, you will be expected to work from an environment that has:
  • Landline (local telco, no VOIP) telephone service
  • A high speed internet connection (cable or DSL or greater speeds)
  • A PC with a minimum of 2 monitors

We view education and experience as a definite plus but certainly not a requirement. Ultimately we are looking for geeks who love working with computers and would enjoy helping others while learning to trade the market. Where: Hourly paid orientation will commence in Late August, Early September in the area of Raleigh, North Carolina for a period of 2 weeks. Please be aware that while we provide the location, connectivity, and compensation for the time you work with us in Charlotte, unfortunately we cannot offer lodging or travel compensation. You will want to bring a laptop computer with the ability to connect to wireless and/or wired Internet. After training you will operate from your home office and are free to move anywhere in the country that our virtualized call-center software can reach you, provided that you can meet our professional work environment guidelines which are listed above.
