Live-In Nanny Position - Room, Board, and Pay Provided

Durham, NC (Near Falls Lake) • 12/31/2008

Are you a student or recent graduate looking for the perfect nanny position? This is it!

Join a great family on a 40 acre farm just 10-15 minutes from Research Triangle Park. Olivia is a very intelligent and active 2-year-old who loves splitting her time between daycare and the farm. With Mom going back to work, we need help juggling our busy schedules.

What you will be provided:

You literally should not have to worry about any living expenses with this situation. You will be given a bedroom with an attached half bath, all of your food (we accommodate different appetites but hope that you aren’t pickier than the 2-year-old!), a car for personal and work use with a gas allowance, and will be paid $125 a week.

Other amenities include horses on the farm for trail riding, shared cable and internet access with the family, and the ability to live-in with the sole restriction of a drug-free policy. You are free to live your life as you choose as long as it does not interfere with the harmony of our laid-back family.

What is needed from you:

We need someone with a flexible schedule that we can call on at the last minute if we need them. However, we are very open for scheduling the approximately 25 hours a week that may be needed. Olivia will have to be dropped off at her daycare in the morning 2-3 times a week when her Dad will not be able to drop her off. She will need to be picked up from her daycare by 5 p.m. by you 3 nights a week. Taking care of Olivia will be the #1 priority when she is entrusted to your care, but light housework (a maid service visits every other week, so it will mostly be tidying up) and meal prep will also be expected. What we need is another set of hands to keep our happy home going, and we want someone with a willing attitude and bright personality. We would never ask you to do anything that we haven’t done or don’t do ourselves. If Olivia is sick and cannot go to the daycare, or it is closed for some reason and we have to work, she will be your responsibility for the entire day. Occasional weekend work will be required, but we are more than willing to accommodate your schedule as long as our needs are well covered.

Qualifications:

Childcare experience
References – at least 3
Willing attitude
Willingness to take a drug test
Clean driving record
Good sense of humor
Speak fluent English
Willing attitude
Active
Easy going personality
Willing attitude (in case you haven’t noticed, that’s important! No whining.)
Must love dogs and cats (or be able to live with them – we have 8 outdoor cats on the farm and two dogs of which one is an indoor dog when she chooses to be)

If interested in this position, please reply by email, submit a resume, provide three references, and be willing to fill out a questionnaire in order to get to know you better.

Thank you for looking!!
