This place is really good; laid-back atmosphere, nice chairs, and I think they have some free Wifi (I might be wrong on that).
I asked them awhile ago about the styrofoam cups, and they replied with some good reasons:

The best thing to do is bring in a reusable cup/mug; even though they don't give you a discount for it, it saves waste and (according to some) tastes better.
P.S. There's also a Cup A Joe on Avent Ferry, in Mission Valley, on the opposite side of NC State.
The coffee is fresh and local. The atmosphere is friendly and unique. This is no Starbucks. The smoking section is the best side as you can hear the jukebox best over there and I think they don't allow smoking during the day and they also have a nice filtration system so it doesn't stink like stale smoke. Also the big windows afford a nice view of the sidewalk for people watching.
THE BIG COMPLAINT:
This is the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars and why I don't make it my daily coffee to go: STYROFOAM
Why are you guys still pouring that sweet goodness into a non-biodegradable cup? Give me paper cups and I'm there daily.

I guess I will have to remember to take my own mug b/c I can't stand the feel and sound of styrofoam. It makes my teeth hurt.
Cup-a-Joe needs to make sure to ask if the order is for 'here' or 'to-go'. The other day I was planning to enjoy my Americano in house but was served in a disposable cup. 'Course I also need to remember to state I want to drink it in house.
