the employees are always happy and the bathrooms and theater are always clean. I love this theater--- you get what you pay for!
Nice theater. But when they started charging $1.50 for flavored salt on top of the already inflated price for popcorn, I pretty much quit going there. My preference is Galaxy, also in Cary. Not quite as upscale but prices are fairer. And the movies are good!
Yeah I think charging $1.50 for salt is a huge mistake. All Regal theaters are doing this now and its enough to make me choose another theater as well.
Well pickle pie, i'm just going to say that you are undoubtedly an ignorant person. I work there, and we are in fact high schoolers and college students. Pretty sure we arent hobos since most of us are living at home pursuing an education. Since we are at home, we arent hobos. We work there so we can make money for college, or help our parents with the phone or car bills. We arent trying to scam anybody. they choose to pay for the salt. we knew the risks when it came to upscaling the salt prices, but some people didnt seem to care and kept buying salt. So why dont you try and show some respect to a decently run theater
It is our favorite theatre. We go there more than not. It is more comfortable and cleaner and so we don't mind the little extra we spend. BUT there is only two of us. I will have to add that I did like it a bit more before the change.
It's very sparkly and pretty, with lots of seating. The popcorn always tastes fresh. On the down side, the place is waaaaaaaaaaayyy overpriced. I only go once in a while if there's a movie I REALLY want to see in such a nice environment. Otherwise, I can go to the Blue Ridge 14 in Raleigh and pay $1.50 to see the same movie about a month after it's been out of the regular theaters. But the Blue Ridge theaters atmosphere sucks and their popcorn is stale.
The movie theater more than adequately serves its function as a clean and comfortable place for our movie going entertainment, it's the perks it misses now more than ever with its new management - Regal. The management is anything but, in reality they have risen rates on everything from tickets to concession prices to a "Regal Stature" and subsequently removed certain perks. What perks? Well, the former mgmt of crossroads 20 (Carmike Cinema) had a punch card than got hit for every ticket. A certain amount of tickets meant free popcorn, or soda, or free entry (one ticket). Regal got rid of those cards in favor of a credit-card-esk point system which can only rack 12 points per visit regardless of what you spend. Not cool however, I can deal with this seeing as they don't have to anything. No, it's the small things they removed. Example. They are constantly running out of small plastic water cups which any smart family uses to share the large refillable drink. They no longer give out the small popcorn holders for sharing popcorn - even when you buy the tub. I know, it's minor stuff, but if you raise rates - shouldn't you raise your level of service? I'm hoping off my soap box with this final thought - what ever happened to American Customer service and when did we start allowing the companies cost/benefit ratio to affect how we were treated? Something to think about next time you take the family out. Demand more people, it's your right.
I have never been to this theater before it was owned by regal, but I have to agree with you, it's very expensive and the people aren't friendly. I wish they still had those perks.
Firstly, Crossroads 20 was built and operated by Consolidated Theaters out of Charlotte before they sold nearly all of their locations to Regal Group. Carmike Cinemas is hardly comparable to Consolidated. Secondly, I think it is ridiculous that you are upset that they have taken away (or run out of) complimentary water cups and your reasoning is that you no longer have anything to share a large refillable drink with. You are welcome to do this at a cinema if you want, but it is not what those water cups are intended for. Same thing with the "popcorn holders."
Great movie theater. Clean, comfortable, and easy to get in out.

The bathrooms somtimes don't have clean toilet paper. And they wouldn't replace it when I asked.
