Its a wonderful restaurant! The pizzas and Stella salad our two of my favorites. They have many great choices, and the food is excellent. I also love the bar and the atmosphere. We are going to have my son"s rehearsal dinner there.
Well I must say it has been amusing to read your (jason e) resentment towards this place, I came on to find out where it was located and decided to read reviews, hell your contraversy has me so curious I am definately going to go there to eat now!!! Not to mention that it has a 4 star rating on every website ???? hmmm sounds like a great place to eat!
I want to go there and eat BECAUSE of jason e. If a place has enough sense to throw out someone who behaves like him.....I'm in! Tonight is my birthday and tomorrow is my husbands, seems like a good time to try it out.

I've never worked in a restaurant so terminology like "floor managers" are new to me which leads me to believe you are likely a disgruntled employee rather than an unhappy customer.
I can't imagine anyone referring to their food as terrible.
the west italian cafe has a lot of different food choices to choose from i would requmend this resterant for all family's
518 West for the win over 42nd Street any day.
This is definitely a place to eat in Raleigh--we had the restaurant cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. It's just fantastic Italian food.
But the restaurant itself is a gorgeous and homey facility--you really want to sit and order dessert after a delicious dinner, which I recommend because the dessert is as excellent as the entrees.
One of my wife's favorite places in Raleigh is now one of mine. Mainly because of the reception we receive any time we show up. Who needs reservations? One weekend we had reservations for 7 at place around the corner. On arrival we were told we'd have to wait another 45 minutes. Nice. Mom was not happy. On a lark, I walked next door to 518 and got a table in 5 minutes. And they were crowded too! This experience adds another charm on the 518 memory bracelet. Great food, generous portions and attentive staff keep 518 high on our list.
Grow up Jason. We get the point. . . you don't like it. Please stop wasting our time with your repetitive comments. At this point no one really believes you because you just keep repeating yourself. Quite frankly, I think you used to work there and got fired, or possibly were jilted by one of the wait staff.
I agree with gusto....grow up Jason....You don't like the restaurant, waiters, etc. We all got the point last year, but it will not keep up from enjoying our meals there! Move on.
