The best place to end the Hillsborough Hike! My friends and I had a late lunch last Friday and the deck was packed with early hikers. It was still rockin late night when we waited in line for over 30 minutes to get in but it was worth it! Even though it's not typically the last stop on the Hike, we didn't have to look any further to be satisfied: the line alone told us this was the place to be, everyone was singing along to the jukebox's favorites, and we were served quickly. The staff was friendly, fast, and looked like they were having as much fun as we were. Homemade potato chips were awesome!

I do like to go to east village on occasion... most of the staff seems to be okay, the food is good, and the drinks are great... The management is lacking though. I have seen the new manager yell at her staff in front of patrons. She seems to have a bad temper and her management skills are definitely sub par- who wants to be at such a negative place with screaming and so on.. way to go Debbie Downer- that's my kind of atmosphere...

This bar has really gone downhill in the last couple years since the new bar manager has taken over. Jo frequently has a nasty attitude and takes it out on the clientèle. She is rude, uneducated and has no class. She is snotty and pretentious, as if she is not the trailer park white trash that she is.

East Village tries to portray itself as a family friendly restaurant during the day but it is just a typical dive bar at night attracting the college crowd. It lures these kids in with cheep beer and liquor producing future alcoholics. The character of a place is truly represented by its management, in this case - NO CLASS!!!
