I went to the Knightdale Planet Fitness with a friend tonight, and he is a memeber at the Knightdale one, but can go to the ones in Raleigh also. Obviously, he is a black card member because he can bring friends, but I dont know why one wouldn't be able to go to the other Planet Fitness's?
The cleanest gym that I have belonged to in Raleigh so far. Planet Fitness offers some great deals, especially if you tend to go to the gym with a workout buddy. With the Black Card membership, you can bring a friend for free as many times as you want and you get free tanning for $19.99 a month. You can also go to any Raleigh Planet Fitness...but not the Knightdale one. Unfortunately, if you join at Knightdale, you can only go to Knightdale...which sucks. They also have a no commitment plan for $10/mo but you can't bring a friend for free and I dont think you get tanning. There aren't any classes here, but the equipment seems to be all brand new and I love their treadmills. I wish they had a concept II rower and a stair machine, but they have enough equipment here for a solid workout without any creeps bothering you. Ideal for women who don't want to be stared at! I was also surprised to hear that the sales people do not work on commission...I didn't get a lot of pressure with the sale at all. If you aren't training for competition and want a low key place to work out without being bothered, I definitely recommend this place!
