OK, I eat Indian food and I also cook it. So why is it that most all of the restaurants in the Triangle that are Indian and most are owned by Indians insist on serving fusion Indian food? That's what I experienced here and they are not the only Indian restaurant that does it. It's sad because most Americans go to these restaurants believing everything they order will be authentic when in actuality it is not.
I'm a big fan of Indian food, and I've had some incredible meals in my life. Azitra is one of the finest Indian restaurants I've had the pleasure of experiencing.
Fantastic service, and the most amazingly spiced dishes. Nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. There's a sitar player on the weekends. Try the vindaloos and the paneer. Great wine selection, too!
