I was going to stop by for a drink with my friends. We were talking to the waitress then the manager came up and told us to leave. We told the manager that we were getting a drink then he replied "no i can't let you caome here". We told him we had money and we were willing to pay for a few drinks and he told us it wasn't about getting the drinks. And we asked him why and he kept on nodding his head so we left. Im not trying to be a racist but we were all white teenagers and the manager and the waitress were asian, i guess they dont serve our kind. i was pretty dissapionted. If they are going to be racist then i dont even want to eat there.

In all the times I've been there, the management has been extremely nice and polite. Never once have I seen anything remotely close to what you are describing. Calling BS on this one.

FANTASTIC sushi. My wife and I went there with hopes of the conveyor belt being on but we got there right as they opened for dinner so they did not have the belt on. NOT A PROBLEM!! We had 5 rolls and all were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the variety of rolls they have on the menu (not the same old same old). I am a sushi snob and do not make recommendations unless I am completely satisfied and I was. Well done Domo Sushi of Cary!

My son and I had dinner at Domo last Wednesday. My son is a sushi monster! He LOVES sushi. He's also a bit of a sushi snob; if it ain't no good, he don't want it!

I'm happy to say we had our fill! Our meal was superb! We ordered five rolls; Catepillar, Sweet Dragon, Las Vegas, Spider and a fifth which I cannot recall the name of (scallops w/ red fish roe on top). All were expertly prepared and delicious! My fav, Catepillar. Very unique flavor, smoked fish flakes adorning top. All were served in short order (crowd was light) by a very friendly wait staff.

I'm so pleased to have a fine sushi bar right here in town!
We used to drive to north Raleigh (Kuki's) until that fine establishment went under. So yea! Domo is now our first choice over any in Raleigh.

I'll never go to this place again. Ever. I went there for lunch today (a Friday) and will admit that I caught they off-guard a little under-staffed when they were a little busier than they expected but the service was the worst ever. The restaurant wasn't even half-full but I think there was a large party but there's no excuse for waiting 10 minutes for a drink. We're talking a diet pepsi, presumably dispensed from a fountain machine.

After about 20 minutes, they served soup and a small salad. That was a pleasant surprise. Then I wait and wait and wait for the sushi roll. I complain to the waitress because I have things to do. Why did I even have to bring it up?! She should have apologized without me even having to ask where my meal is. She should have warned me when I sat down that they were going to be slower than normal. I actually considered telling the waitress I was fed up with waiting and was going to leave. In hindsight, I probably should have!

So the roll finally shows up and it wasn't even very good. I think they rushed it, it wasn't rolled very tightly, and the pieces tended to fall apart while I was picking it up. After an hour fuming over the time I wasted here, suffice to say that I left no tip and am happy about that.

sir, you are probably one of the rudest diners i have ever met. i am writing this up because i am so happy i can tell you how nasty you are, and then forget about you forever. if you've ever had to deal with having no hostess, no busboy, getting drinks, making soups and salads, taking down orders, delivering them, being the person chefs blame for complicated orders, being the person diners crap on because their food is late, you would know how my life is nearly everyday.
fyi, i did apologize profusely (though it is not my fault that we are understaffed); i was the most civil, courteous anyone could possibly be in that situation. people like you do not deserve to be served, and if you're proud of yourself for leaving no tip (i lost two bucks, big whoop), it shows what class you are from. i'm so glad i do not have to deal with lowbrow people like yourself anymore.

I was just about to say the same thing as the waitress. You sound like a prick. You should try having a job where it's optional if you get paid. It's usually the kitchen's fault if your food isn't up to par but the waitstaff takes the heat.

The sushi wasn't rolled very tightly....what a fag!!! You are one pathetic loser!!

Why other people responded attacking the customer with complaints is totally unethical as is the attitude of the server...I am certainly shocked at the lack of professionalism and cry baby antics from the server that responded to the complaint. No, we in business do not live by the rule anymore that the customer is always right; thus the customer is NOT always right but they are STILL the customer. Do you realize the industry you are in? Yes, waitstaff will take the heat; did you read the job description or are you just that green? You are certainly in the wrong job with the attitude that you carry. You never speak (even indirectly) to a paying customer like that and it is ALWAYS the choice of the customer and NOT the right of a server when it comes to a tip! They are only required to pay for the food eaten. Harsh words but true.

I had considered suggesting to my sushi group about DOMO because I had heard some pretty decent things about it but after the response from the server and with the long list of grips about that day and the job in general, I have reconsidered.

All the best to you ...

It is obvious that neither mrbruno nor Revolutionary Critic have ever worked in a wait staff position before. Mr. Critic, if you would have read jsh's reply, you would see that 90% of that stuff is NOT in the job description of any wait staff personnel. That is stuff that Jsh had to do that night b/c for some reason, those other people decided not to come to work. and for a douche like mrbruno to be proud to have "punished" jsh for the fact that her coworkes did not come to work simply shows the type of person he is.

Great Place, I have had sushi at a few places around town and this is probably the best. They have not been busy since I have been in there and I have not had a chance to experience the conveyor belt, but is a cool idea. The spicy tuna, spider roll, and tempura shrimp roll are all excellent. Hopefully next time the conveyor belt will be on so I can try something I would not usually order!

I've been to Domo Sushi several times. The food is very fresh and tastes great. One time we ate from the conveyor, excellent flavors and variety. The bentos are unusual, really like the tempura. The owners have created a beautiful place to dine as well.

We loved Domo Sushi's. My 15 yr old son thought the barbequed eel was good and my 8 yr old loved the edamames. My huband and I enjoyed the Miso soup and the spicy tuna rolls. It was fun watching the kids experience something new. They really enjoyed it. The youngest one was really excited about eating sushi and wants to go back again. The price was a lot lower than what I was expecting. We will be back.

I just went in to give it a try and get some take out. I got a the Crunchy Hana and spicy tuna rolls, and both were delicious. The Crunchy Hana was one that I had not seen before -- very creative, with pineapple, inari, shiitake, salad green and crabstick, and roe in an inside-out roll. The conveyor looks like fun. I definitely plan on going back with a few friends. I went on a Monday night, and there were only two tables being served. I hope that people decide to check it out!
