What a great place! Great food! Wow!
Our neighbor took us to Domo a few weeks back for the first time, we really loved it there and we've been back there a few times already since then. The waitstaff was very nice and helpful, we always ordered a couple runs of house sake, some nigiris with various types of fish and some rolls with tempura shrimps in them. I'm no expert when it comes to sushi but I sure can tell if the seafood on my plates is fresh or not and I can tell you that Domo is one of the few places in Triangle area that serves top quality fish. So far, we totally enjoyed our meals with them, oh, by the way did I mention that they have the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen in a restaurant? Even my wife doesn't mind using it ;)
This is definitely one of my favorite places to go for sushi. It is outstanding. I enjoy dining there (although the interior is sort of non-descript) and love getting it to go. Their rolls are huge and thus you need not order too much to get full. The waitstaff are great too.
Excellent sushi!!!! Me and my bf frequent Domo and are always completely satisfied. Our top picks: Crimson, Rainbow, Mary & Volcano. Definitely the first place we recommend- try the black sesame ice cream...(we like to think we know what we're talking about.)
This place is awesome. Best sushi in the Triangle hands down. You have to try this place. Ignore the negative reviews. You will love Domo Sushi.
Right - that was my thought - since when are teenagers going to a sushi place "for drinks?"
I was going to stop by for a drink with my friends. We were talking to the waitress then the manager came up and told us to leave. We told the manager that we were getting a drink then he replied "no i can't let you caome here". We told him we had money and we were willing to pay for a few drinks and he told us it wasn't about getting the drinks. And we asked him why and he kept on nodding his head so we left. Im not trying to be a racist but we were all white teenagers and the manager and the waitress were asian, i guess they dont serve our kind. i was pretty dissapionted. If they are going to be racist then i dont even want to eat there.
In all the times I've been there, the management has been extremely nice and polite. Never once have I seen anything remotely close to what you are describing. Calling BS on this one.
having been a teenager somewhat recently. . . i know how easy it is to let inappropriate language slip and volume levels to increase. Im also assuming your attire and demeanor was conclusive.
My husband and I love Domo Sushi....we love sushi and found Domo has the best selection, the freshest ingredience and the taste is fantabulous.....love the conveyor belt.... the service is always excellent...... the owners are very nice, friendly, carring, hardworking people....we highly recomend Domo's for most pleasurable dining experience. Can't wait to go back again and again and again.....
FANTASTIC sushi. My wife and I went there with hopes of the conveyor belt being on but we got there right as they opened for dinner so they did not have the belt on. NOT A PROBLEM!! We had 5 rolls and all were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the variety of rolls they have on the menu (not the same old same old). I am a sushi snob and do not make recommendations unless I am completely satisfied and I was. Well done Domo Sushi of Cary!
My son and I had dinner at Domo last Wednesday. My son is a sushi monster! He LOVES sushi. He's also a bit of a sushi snob; if it ain't no good, he don't want it!
I'm happy to say we had our fill! Our meal was superb! We ordered five rolls; Catepillar, Sweet Dragon, Las Vegas, Spider and a fifth which I cannot recall the name of (scallops w/ red fish roe on top). All were expertly prepared and delicious! My fav, Catepillar. Very unique flavor, smoked fish flakes adorning top. All were served in short order (crowd was light) by a very friendly wait staff.
I'm so pleased to have a fine sushi bar right here in town!
We used to drive to north Raleigh (Kuki's) until that fine establishment went under. So yea! Domo is now our first choice over any in Raleigh.
