Well that sucks....I had some saddle bags on backorder. I sent them an email I hope someone will reply.
My understanding is Matison didn't pay their bills on time and the bank forclosed. Rumor has it Capital Ford is looking to buy it. Just a rumor at this time. Hopefully it'll open soon!

I have ordered Parts through Matison. The Parts counter was extremely friendly and helpful. They even provided help installing the part. When I needed a new starter they gave me a quote and told me that I would be able to find the part cheaper at a salvage year, provided me the phone number and contact information and saved me $250.00.
I can't vouch for the rest of the company but their parts people are excellent in customer service and knowledge. I will be back again.
I would give less than one star if I could. I took my bike in for an inspection, 15-20 minute job tops. I was told that there was one mechanic out due to an injury, that there was one inspection in front of me and that it would take about 1/2 hour or so. One hour later, I checked on my status and found out that the two wrench turners in the back were not inspecting, it was some Aussie dude who spent most of his time smoking and joking with customers or friends (25 minutes with one couple). I asked the Service Manager about that and he told me he had no control over him, that he merely laid out the work for him. I left, and when at home called the general manager whose condescending tone of voice told me he could care less that I had waited an 1 1/2 through some of the worst customer service I had ever encountered. They will NOT be getting my business anytime soon!
They were good years ago. But now with the economy in a slump, they have gone downhill and lost their only good mechanic. Now just a bunch of new guys and no one in charge, they can't fix anything right. You can save 15% on the price of a new bike if you go to Rockingham Sport Cycles. No point in paying more in Raleigh and support a local dealer, if the service stinks.
I purchased a new 2009 V-Star 650 from this dealership June 2010. I paid $6,700 Cash. A week after the purchase I went to raise my windshield and in bolting it back on, the bolt broke off in the bracket. I took to a certified mechanic with the State of North Carolina and he found that the bolts that the windshield was mounted with were the wrong bolts for that windshield, and that was why it broke off and subsequently also damanged the bracket that the bolt went into. I contacted this dearlership (Mike & Chris) and they questioned everthing I told them, practically called me a liar, and refused to believe that the set-up person put the wrong bolts in the windshield. Chris was insulting and rude with his very first communication with me on the phone. He used words like monkeying around, jip and con with me. It would have cost them $108.00 to make this right and instead they treated me very rudely, even with the certificed mechanic telling them it was the wrong bolts. It was especially evident that this Chris fellow is very unrespectful of women and knows very little about resolving problems without insulting people. I will definetely get my servicing and other warranty work done somewhere else. And I would recommend to you ladies out their, to go to a dealership that treats women with respect and as an equal.
I have purchased two motorcycles from Matison Motorsports in Raleigh - a 2006 Kawasaki KX 250f and a Ducati Monster 696 (that I just purchased about two weeks ago).
I will recommend anyone that is looking for a motorcycle, scooter, or jet ski in Raleigh to visit Matison Motorsports. I've worked with 3 or 4 people there and the customer service is second to none. They are knowledgeable about their motorcycles and they do not try to steer customers into spending more money for a product if there are cheaper and perhaps more practical options.
My father in law also purchased a motorcycle from Matison Motorsports a week after I bought my Ducati 696. He's a hard person to please but he was impressed with their service and expertise.
If you are in the market for a jet ski, ATV or dirt bike, or a motorcycle in Raleigh, you have to pay these guys a visit.
