Dr. Dismukes had been a great vet to me and my pets for years until today.
I recently adopted a dog with an eye issue.
When she was unable to further help my dog, Dr. Dismukes referred me to an eye doctor in Cary.
I chose to see a different vet for a second opinion and was thankfully able to resolve the issue.
Sometimes things like this happens even with humans. No doctor is perfect.
Today, the office assistant returned my call for my older, ailing dog. She informed me there was a last minute cancellation and said Dr. Dismukes could come by immediately instead of weeks later, as is typical.
I got my pets ready and out of the blue received a surprise phone call from Dr. Dismukes herself. She said, "It is emotionally draining" to deal with me because I don't follow her instructions.
She then informed me she would be transferring my records to the vet that successfully treated my other dog's eye issue.
I was in complete shock. I can't imagine what happened in the 10-20 minutes since her assistant said she was on the way except that her assistant must have shared the good news that the other dog's eye was cured.
I don't know what else to say except this was shocking, unprofessional behavior from a veterinarian I thought I knew better. I've spent thousands of dollars at her practice and have referred many to her, but I can no longer recommend her due to this unprofessional behavior.
It makes me really sad because I do have an older, ailing dog and cat that she has treated for over 3 years and it's not easy to transport them.
I'll have to find a new veterinarian that makes house calls.
Dr. Sagris is great. My dog and cat love her and she's caring and gentle. Has diagnosed a problem very quickly and doggie is now on track. Only down side is her assistant is slow to respond (can take 2-3 days to get an appointment) and gets snippy if questioned. Would give 5 stars if the office staff was half as good as the vet.
Where do I start? I’m just going to break my review down in sections! But first, let me say this: I will not be using any other vet, again. Period.
The Doctor: Dr. Sagris arrived a few minutes early, which is always nice! The moment I met her, I knew I’d like her, when she shook my hand and introduced herself as Janine Sagris, not doctor Sagris. She is down to earth, professional and personable, and made me feel very comfortable. She is very easy to talk to. Five stars!
The Exams: Dr. Sagris was so good with all three of my dogs: Two Beagles and a Yorkie. She was extremely gentle with them, and as she was giving them their physicals, she would actually say what she was checking, and indicate that everything was normal . She did this with all three dogs. Additionally, she talked to each dog, as she examined them and gave them their shots. She took time with each of my dogs, reassuring them in such a gentle manner. She is very thorough. There was absolutely no rushing at all. She took her time. Dr. Sagris is professional, thorough and kind! Five stars!
The Truck: Dr. Sagris’ truck inside was extremely clean and very organized. Everything was neatly in it’s place and the exam table, as well as all the other surfaces in her truck were spotless! The outside of her truck was spotless, as well. Five stars!
Her Prices: Her prices are right in line. Not over-inflated at all. Very fair prices. After all, you get the luxury of having her come to you. Can’t beat that! Five stars!
In closing, I have to say, I am super impressed with Dr. Sagris. It doesn’t get any better than this. You have a vet that truly cares, takes time with you and your dogs, is very gentle and explains everything. And I especially liked the way she introduced herself as simply, Janine Sagris. NO ego here! People like it when doctors approach them on such a personal level. I wish we could give more than a 5 star rating. As you can see, she would clearly get 20 stars!
Try her! You will not be disappointed.
SUGGESTION: I would NOT recommend using their "Appointment Request" option on their website, because they do not always receive these! Call them instead, and leave a VM. This way, you will get a response.
We love Dr. Sagris. She is a wonderful person and a great vet. She can do state-of-the-art laser surgery right in her massive van! One of our cats had abdominal surgery right in our driveway and, with the laser, there were no stitches or openings where the incision had been. We have another cat who loses her mind when we try to take her in the car to the vet so having a vet come to the house really takes the trauma out of it for her. Of course, our other cats don't mind skipping the car ride either. They don't know they're going to get a vaccination until about one minute before it happens!
I had used Dr Bush and when he moved we were sadden but thankfully Dr Sargis took over from him. We had to finally use her services last year because our girl was sick. We were very happy with the way she dealt with our girls. Unfortunately Sally (our girl) had late stage throat cancer. She lasted 10 more days and Dr Sargis came out within 24hrs when it was time to put Sally out of pain. She was extremely compassionate with us (I'm a big guy and it was hard I was crying when she helped)and more importantly with Sally. I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone I meet.
I am so happy we have Dr. Janine and her wonderful vet-mobile! We couldn't be happier with her care of our two Puli dogs!
Sandy and Steve.
I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Sagris at an unfortunate time. Our 12 year old border collie quit walking and we needed to have a vet come to our home. Dr. Sagris came out and examied him and made the suggestion to put our collie to sleep. As hard as it was on the entire family, she was very compassionate, sincere and understanding. She explained in detail what happened to our collie, the lack of recovery and every step of the process. That morning, she again explained the process to our family, was very gentle with our loved one and allowed our "good-byes". I have now found a new vet for our German shepard and would recommend Dr. Sagris to anyone looking for a caring doctor for their pet.
Dr Sagris is a wonderful vet. I breed Bengals and my pet kittens get altered before leaving my home. I love the convenience and my kittens are not stressed by the ride to the vet and waiting in an office. My kittens have their surgery and recover home with me. My kids love to watch the surgery. Dr Sagris is always happy to answer any of my questions and is very knowledgeable. She sends me articles about topics we discuss and never talks down to any of us. She is kind, patient and on time. I have used other mobile services, but none have been the same as Dr Sagris. I completely recommend her to anyone! www.spotswalkin.com
OUTSTANDING! Dr. Sagris is compassionate and gentle as well as very well-informed of the most up-to-date procedures and methods. Her staff is friendly and helpful--her practice is the full package! I highly recommend Mobile Laser Vet Services!
Dr. Sagris has been my furkids primary veterinarian for many years. I was concerned she would move to a practice "too far from me" - but instead, she now comes to me! I am very happy to see that her mobile hospital provides the services, and has the supporting technology, that I want for my pets. I have always been impressed by Dr. Sagris' surgical expertise - the laser is her baby - and bed-side (or is it crate-side?) manner. Two paws up!
