Good food but horrible attitude/service:
I've frequently picked up take-out from Baba Ghanouj on Hwy 55 but may family and I recently stopped in for dinner on our way home and were not-so-pleasantly struck by both the indifference and, how should I say, "you're really putting us out" attitude by the staff. This was odd as NO ONE was dining there, and there were only a few people in, during the hour we were there, for pick up. If you don't mind this than you'll enjoy the food but as for me, I won't be back.
I've never been to Baba Ghanouj proper, but I've had their catered food several times. It's always been out of this world! They have very tasty hummus and kabobs. If you ever need to cater a meal, I'd definitely check them out.
First of all, Baba Ghanouj honey is not Indian cuisine...it's middle eastern. Can u imagine if in Lebanon (a country in the middle east, because most likely you are an ignorant American who thinks Africa is a country)..there is an American fast food place and the arab guy says, "My! This Australian food sure is tasty!" what??
Please self-educate yourself...i am tired of such ignorance in the world, and stop adding to it... sorry if this post is mean but such comments are so stupid :)
You are the the same ignorant Americans that I am ashamed to say I share the same country with! This person just wrote a very complimentary review of the place and all you can do is criticize that they got the nationality wrong....big freaking deal! I easily understood exactly what they meant and I found it to be very useful! Please keep your Politically Correct Liberal comments to yourself unless you have something constructive to say about the actual restaurant. We are all so happy about how educated you are. I too consider myself educated but I chose to refer to it as Middle Eastern cuisine, whether it be Indian or not. Thank you to the other reviewer for such a wonderful description of the place. I may try it now.
Baba Ghanouj truly has the best food in town! I never liked Indian food before I came here and now I love it!
Everything is good here; Delicious Gyros, Amazing Salads, Savory Soups, and my personal Favorite, Curry Chicken that is absoulutly to die for!
Along with their many spectacular entrees, they also bake the most delicious Baklava (among other deicious sweet treats I can't pronounce, so I won't try :) )
Baba Ghanouj does offer many Mediterranean foods, but don't be afraid to bring the kids here, too! They offer many "kid friendly" side dishes that also encorporate the rich flavors that they will surely grow to love!
Although this restaurant is no dressy affair, just come casual to relax and treat yourself and your family to Indian food like no other!
P.S. I know that when some of you think Indian- you think " Oh nO! Spicy!!" don't worry some things can be made spicy or more mild but the friendly staff will let you know!
