Beware of their Easter Brunch. It cost us nearly $450 for 4 adults and 3 children. 15% gratuity was automatically added in even though the buffet was self serve! I have never seen that before - anywhere. Also, you have to pay extra for drinks - we are talking non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic. Most Easter and Sunday brunches generally do not charge for that especially when you are paying around $60 per plate. And the food was nothing exciting - cheese grits, corn mash, potatoes, creame of spinish, mac and cheese. The meat was prime rib which was ok but it was served roast beef style meaning you get super thin slices that dry out quickly. Never again!!!!
We go all the time, especially for anniversary, birthdays, special events. We love going to the bar eating dinner too for a really romantic, fun night. Have been in the gorgeous wine room twice for dinner, appetizers, drinks, cigars: now that is an extravagant party!
Just found it on our first trip to Raleigh and it was part of what made us move here in 1998.
It's our all time favorite. Love it!
I live here in Raleigh. Most people in this are go other places for a good steak. It's near the airport which is nice, but I won't eat there again. The atmosphere is good. But their steak's aren't very good. I ordered sauteed mushrooms, and I got mushrooms soaking in butter. No seasoning. The people that run it are very kind. Definitely not what it used to be.
I got really drunk and fell down the stairs. It hurt like a mother. Meat and pickles was good though. Still wearing a bandaid on my knee. I tell ya' what else to, that cheese they got, boy that is some stuff. Merry New Year ya'll. This place rocks even with an injury.
I have been to the Angus Barn many, many times and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere and food is awesome. Try the Crab claws, they are my favorite.
I have never gone to the Angus barn but i have many good things about it and my next door neighboor loves to eat there and knows alot of the waiters and waitresses. It is very pricy but it is great to go for a special event and apparently they have great wine!
It's okay, but it's greatly overpriced. Plus, when I went, they brought out a steak that was burnt. In my opinion it wasn't worth the money.
Best steakhouse in Raleigh. I've had just about everything on the menu and I always recommend it to my out of town friends as well as trying to get there myself as often as possible!
Love it, we eat there once a month or sometimes twice a month. The service is always impeccable, I know most of the servers and I have been friends with the owner for about 10 years.
Lisa H, Lance and few others are my favorite servers.
The quality of the food was superb! The entire experience was well worth the price. I'd recommend the Angus Barn to anyone. For a particularly special night, ask for a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar!!!
