I eat there all the time with my grandson. He loves the baked goods and I love their wraps and salads. Perfect little neighborhood cafe (the one in the Village). My daughter says the one downtown is great too.
Free internet is good, the bakery items are ok, and all of the food is just OK. Its definitely nothing special as its all microwaved and sometimes its just plain bad. The last time I had the quiche it was cold in the middle and floating in water. I guess it was frozen and the microwave melted the ice in it.
Heuvos Wrapcheros is pretty good for a microwaved breakfast burrito but $8 for a nuked flatbread version is a bit much IMO.
Not nuked but yes warmed up. Please know what you're talking about before you say it. I will agree that the food is overpriced but is acutally fresh-ish. The wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads and such are all made fresh though the freshness of some of the ingredients is questionable. It's not its bro.
We have eaten at the Carolina Cafe and Bakery on numerous occasions and it has become our favorite relaxing spot. The food is always good, coffee or tea are also always good. The service is a behind the counter order and pick up, but the people are pleasant, the place is clean and relaxing. It is designed for people to be able to sit and converse, or use their internet wi-fi connection, or study. Just a nice relaxing place to hang out for people of all ages. It has my vote for best local place in the area, hands down. Prices are reasonable, food is great.
