Ugh. Not one of my favorite places. Nice people and good service but terrible food. Yes, its inexpensive but the burritos, enchiladas, ... all taste like they're out of box! The only good thing there is the queso. So, if your looking for a place with a bar to hang out at, stick with the drinks and just grab an appetizer! (queso)
El Rodeo Grill is a step up from the basic, super cheap, El Rodeo found on Hillsborough and downtown. The food costs a bit more at about $8 to $9 per entree but its so worth it. The quality of ingredients is far greater and the atmosphere and service is much better. El Rodeo Grill is in the old building occupied previously by Jabarra (same owners).

This is so far from my experience there. Not sure what happened with sushi girl, but I think this is one of the best Mexican places around Raleigh, and I have 20 years' experience with Mexican food in California to compare it with.
