I love the tacos at Baja. I work at NCSU and eat there at least once a week. Most of the time the owner is there at lunch. She has been in Mission Valley for about 10 years and I really like supporting a local, small buisness owned by a woman.
The BEST in the NC State area!!!!
My wife and I *love* Baja Burrito. I think they have the best burritos in town, while my wife is still fond of Moes and Chipotle. I think Baja is far better than both. I'm a big fan of their plain black-bean burritos - great price too. Authentic "mexican" feel that isn't over the top. The also serve beer. Friendly and fast service and great food.
Raleigh's BEST hot sauce, salsa and guacamole are made here! Love the whole wheat and brown rice options, and you can even get it DELIVERED by using RaleighTakeOut.com ! How AWESOME is that?!?
Having eaten burritos from here to God knows where, I will take a Baja Burrito any day of the week. I take my family after church on Sundays and any other time I get a chance. Other burrito places are very good and I would not put them down by any means but try a Baja Burrito at Mission Valley if you want the best burrito in town.
This place is not worth your time. Moe's, Chipotle, or even Taco Bell is better. We found the food subpar and the health rating was 85 (B-). Apparently WRAL had listed them as having failed a recent inspection. NCSU kids go there but college kids will eat anything. The music is bad and staff was so-so. Save your money and go to Subway or somewhere clean at least. For better burritos, go to Moe's. Or, if you want a nice atmosphere and top notch food, try Cafe Capistrano on durant road.
Dude, you are crazy. These are the best, most authentic burritos anywhere in the state.
Baja Burrito has been around for several years, and is an NC State favorite. Located in the Mission Valley shopping center, its proximity to the school and to apartments means you can always count on the college crowd's patronage.
That being said, it's a destination for professionals too! It's not uncommon to see folks from nearby WRAL-TV grabbing a bite for lunch.
I myself make it a point to drive across down to Baja Burrito once a month. Let's face it; these are the best damn burritos in town, bar none. Forget about Moe's, Chipotle, or Baja Fresh. They can't hold a candle to Baja Burrito.
