I am so happy other people have had a wonderful experience at Vin. I did not. Service was horrible. It took us just about 2 hours to receive our entrees, 45 minutes to receive a cheese platter appetizer. I am a vegetarian, and there were no vegetarian items on the menu. The chef attempted to prepare pasta. We made our concerns known to the management about an hour into the waiting experience to no avail. If we had not been there for my sister's birthday, I would have left. I am so glad that they have improved the place. I will not go back and would not recommend it.
Unique entrees and a very impressive wine collection. Vin boasts a personal, cozy dining atmosphere and a super cute patio for downtown raleigh. The scallops are succulent.
Vin is simply the best restaurant for fine dining in the Triangle area and definitely near the top of the list for the entire southeast region. Ashley Christensen is simply genius. I've never felt so comfortable trying anything on a menu as I do at Vin. The menu completely changes very often so its always a surprise to go back to for a special occasion. If you eat elsewhere in the Glenwood South area its also fun to stop by Vin later in the evening for an incredible desert like local blackberry cobbler with homemade ice cream.
