I went to lillys pizza and you couldn't walk in because there was sooo much smoke. your eyes burned, it was hard to breathe, it was loud, and it was VERY crowded. the pizza was ok it wasnt my favorite.
Very good pizza, however, usually the staff has been lukewarm at best not concerned with their service. Plan to wait in excess for your food as it seems to take twice as long as other places. It has been a while since I've visited due to the lack of service so things may have changed but be wary.
Best Pizza to ever enter my mouth. I can hardly down a piece of pizza from a large franchise, since I've eaten at Lilly's. Love the unique atmosphere! I recommend this pizza to everyone I know.
Not only the best pizza in NC, but also a great advocate for us pet lovers! Try the Sergeant Scofflaw on gluten free crust. Mmmmm!
This is the best pizza in the triangle offered up by a competent pierced tattooed staff. There's a touch of honey in the dough adding great flavor and the flour has a high gluten content for perfect texture. Toppings offer something to satisfy everyone and salads are a meal by themselves. Some advice -- if you like a clean-ish table, take along some antiseptic wipes and also have something handy to stick under the wobbly table legs. Very smoky and noisy inside - do they NOT have exhaust fans in the kitchen? VERY vegetarian friendly. Bonus - great people watching.
If you're watching your weight just keep on walking but if you're looking for a great neighborhood pizza place this is it. Love the atmosphere and the local artwork makes it most appealing. Check it out, you'll be hooked too!
Try the bigStar! Good stuff. Great vege' options.
Best pizza and REALLY casual, 60's, 70's atmosphere, NO smoking - YES! KId friendly (visually, so much to see), adult friendly, variety of beer served, all around great place to relax and unwind with friends, and enjoy GREAT FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICES!
I won't argue that the pizza is great, but the atmosphere can be a little much, quite loud and smoky (pizza wise, not cigarette) and sometimes hard to breathe. Outside is almost just as loud, right on the street and lots of flies, so I would take the pizza on the go!
The pizza at Lily's is some of the best I have ever tasted. I'm warning you that although the restaurant is quite eclectic the lighting is dim and it is always loud. The restaurant tends to be filled with loud college students and screaming children, therefore it is best to grab your pizza and go!
There are plenty of affordable toppings to be added that make the pizza even more tasty. If you like good pizza head over to Lily's!

Really sad to hear this. I keep hoping the manager or owner will realize the smoke situation is so bad. I just don't get it. The pizza is still sooooo good but I can't even stand to be in there for a few minutes.
