I am the owner of this business
Parking: Street
I totally agree with everyone that has put a post up here about Jamestown..I have lived here for over a year mainly because I'm a single mother with two children. Terry is the worst landlord anyone can ever have. he yells at his tenants, he dosen't fix anything like he should. I have roaches all in my apartment that were not here when I got here. After a few neighbors who are joined with my apartment left, here they come. They don't come out and spray. The stove that i have, its door is hanging off and burns the cabinet when I cook. they got to have atleast four work orders for me in the office..I'm going to be honest with you, I'm still here cause I'm trying to save my money so I can move out..SMH
wow and to think i was thinkin abt moving there no thank you!
This is the absolute worst place to move and I hate living here! unfortunitly I have been here for 3yrs. The apt. manager (Terry Longmire) loves to belittle people he treats everyone like their dumb and poor! He also likes to use scare tactics to munipulate people into doing what he wants like for example I had a maintainence request that was serious enough he should have come running but he didnt come then he came way later then said it was my fault and i was like are you serious b/c how can i make the water leak from up stairs! He came and yelled at me and left it all still messed up and never came back to fix anything untill i called the city of Raleigh inspections dept. and even now all of it aint done but just like the inspector man said all Terry does is exactly what he has to do without being fined! thats sad even the inspection people know of him just b/c of bad reports!!!!!!!!! I hope and Pray that WakeMed or Wake Tech hurry and buy the property so Terry cant treat people like he has been!!!!!!!!!!! Me myself im gonna try my best to sue the hell out of him and Jameston on the Creek Apts!!!!
i agree that the manager (terry) is so rude and unprofessional that is ridiculous.i would rather pay twice as much for some other place than to live in anything that he rents out.he lies about having the place ready and also about fixing the place up.when i saw the place it was just as nasty as he was.its also a libility because the steps are rotten and split into.if a heavy person step on those steps they are going to give out and down goes the person.he said the place would be ready a certain day.i turned the lights on and were supposed to move in .went to get the key and stepped in and oh my GOD it was a mess.went back to office and he said oh it isn't ready.went back week later and had an appointment with terry and place still wasn't ready.instead of him saying he was sorry he talked ugly to me and told me if i couldn't wait to just give the keys back.the other staff was truly a blessing.its just that one bad apple in the whole bunch.i did exactly what he said and gave the key back and thank GOD i bid.sometime cheaper don't cut it.he act as if he have a bunch of people staying there that he don't have to respect.at the end of the day we know he has a boss and i'm trying to get intouch with.i won't stop untill i do
The Manager (Terry) is extremely unprofessional. The staff in the office lacks manners and knowledge. I had multiple problems since I moved in, the property is not safe and you will suffer from Bedbugs and roaches. The noise level here is unbelievable and management will do nothing about it! Please spare yourself the money and move elsewhere! You will not be happy here!
Jamestowne on the Creek has cheap rent, but that's about it. It lacks class, courtesy and any kind of professionalism. This particular complex is mostly for people who can't get an apartment anywhere else because of evictions and such. I attempted getting an apartment there because of my financial situation. My sister suggested this property to me, being a resident herself. However, her dramatic story of how she got in turned me off before I even considered this place for myself. According to her, her apartment was never ready when she attempted to move in and she was cursed out by the property manager even though he made the mistake and should have been apologizing to her. She told him that she would just come by and get her deposit because she couldn't deal with such irrational behavior. When she arrived, someone of higher rank was in the office. This resulted in the property manager doing a 360 and changing his tone completely. He was polite to my sister and even apologized due to the fact that there was a superior in the office. She moved in successfully, but only by a hair. My first personal contact with this manager was when my friend and I stopped by for an application. We were not acknowledged, asked how we could be helped or anything. He didn't even lift his head to address us. Answering our questions seemed to be an inconvenience for this man, and he was terribly impatient and rude. A second time, I called instead to check the availability of an apartment. He could not simply answer me if there was one available or not and again displayed attitude. I hung up out of sheer frustration, but was desperate at this point for a cheap apartment. I ended up going back to the office with my application, but was told the fee would have to be in money order form. I called again before stopping by to see if I could get a straight answer on the availability of an apartment. This time he had two apartments available and when I asked the requirements, he said very unprofessionally, "Just pay the rent!" I asked how I could hold the one bedroom and he said he only held apartments with a deposit in hand. Four hours later, I stood in three lines after a snow day to get a money order for $250 dollars only to have him tell me that both apartments were gone. He had supposedly given the one bedroom to someone who would give him their deposit the next day, yet originally I was told by this man that apartments could only be held with a deposit. And yet, he was holding one without a deposit. I returned to the car to tell my friend that I would have to go to the bank to deposit the money I'd just taken out. She was upset and got out of the car to approach the manager as he made his way to his car. When she questioned his contradiction of the deposit issue, he stated, "That's all I can tell you. Have a nice day" - a response he assumed was clever but was in fact simply ignorant. I had been lied to, my time had been wasted, and I had even possibly been discriminated against. Four hours after our phone call, I do not believe both apartments had been rented out. I even caught him in a lie when he told me he only held apartments with a deposit and he stupidly volunteered the information that he didn't even have a deposit from the person he'd rented it to. I believe the person to have been a friend/lover or either completely imaginary. Either way, it was unethical, unprofessional and rude. I've tried finding a number to the main office but have been unsuccessful. If anyone knows the number, please inform me. Thanks.
People people this property manager or owner or who the hell ever he may be is an ignorant dumb ass he needs to go back to school for customer service etiquette who n da hell sold this property to him all he wants is a piece of ass ladies his nick name is t-long i wonder why he got me in trouble with sodcial servies they paid my deposit for me and he cashed the check i never moved n the apartment because he never had one ready and when one did get ready it had no refrigerator and it was infested with roaches so i told him to send the deposit back to social services he didnt now i owe them 200 dollars and cannot receive help from them unless the money is paid back is this professional or what people do not move in there go to a shelter or in a motel u will be better off terry long u will reap what u sow
James town on the creek is not a great place to live. Personally i believe that the property manager Terry needs to be removed from office. Reason why is because as of Jan 12 2009 was suppost to have been my move in date, i gave terry the(property manager) a security deposit of $250.00 dollars on december 29th 2008 he had asssigned me to apartment 213 A upon moving in Jan 12 2009 he stated to me that my credit check had come back and that i no longer had the apartment my problem is he had more then enough time to tell me this before giving me an apartment. not only did he assign me to an apartment he said he would think about me moving in and will let me no . However, when calling TERRY he had got an attitude, therefore i went to get my money and when i received my money it was hell getting it back he had already done sign my money order which made it hard for me to cash. I am simply saying to everyone who want to move over there even though the rent is cheap $475.00 cheap way is not always the best way. He has done this to other individuals like my self as well as a close friends of mines. If we cant stop you then hopefully you will learn from him yourself. TERRY YOU ARE MEAN AND I HOPE WHEN I CALL THE MANAGMENT COMPANY ON YOU THEY WILL REMOVE YOU FROM OFFICE. A.S.A.P.
