I have to laugh at everyone talking about the staff at the movie theater - whether they are nice, cute, have found Jesus, whatever.....I go to movies all the time, and in all of my 36 years I don't think I've ever interacted with the staff at any theater, other than to buy my ticket and snacks. Ticketing/Concessions staff is always hit or miss at any theater - as long as they give me the right food and correct change, I don't have high expectations. Anyway, as for this theater, I went to see the latest Harry Potter during a Saturday matinee. Bathrooms were clean, the sound was decent, although we heard explosions from another movie during some quiet moments in our own flick, which was a bit annoying. Also the temp was a bit chilly, which I've experienced at a lot of theaters, so bring a sweatshirt just in case. Comfortable seats with drink holders. Snacks are kind of expensive, but aren't they always? Overall, a decent movie experience. I prefer seeing films at Galaxy Cinema because it's an independent movie theater with better snacks (including beer and wine!), but for a general movie experience, Crossroads is fine.

I wouldn't recommend going to a 3D movie at this theater. The 3D glasses are cheap bendable plastic and extremely filthy (they are not the normal 3D black glasses that look like shades). The lenses are bendable so they warp and the 3D effect is distorted. The first set of glasses were not protected in plastic wrap and the lenses were covered in sticky chunks of some kind of substance (looked like candy or soda). I showed them to whom I believed was a manager, and he returned with cleaner glasses, but they were still not wrapped in any sort of protective material. That is totally gross and unsanitary. These are devices you wear very close to your eyes.

I've been to crossroads many times and have never experienced anything bad, or so to say. I've always liked the place and recommend it.

FireFly... most theaters now recycle their glasses. If I'm not mistaken, Crossroads sanitizes and washes their own IMAX glasses and sends off their RealD glasses (at least this is what I was told when I asked). Maybe you should try to keep your fingers off the lenses before you put them on your face.

So, oh my goodness. This place is like...wicked groovy. I met this guy there and he was so unbelievably cool. His name was Luc.

He was definitely the coolest. No wedding ring...?
He was with a dude with a beard and mustache...Brandon, I believe. He was okay.

When I wen't to this movie theater I was highly speculative as to the kind of experience this place could possibly offer me. I was going to see Toy Story 3, which was amazing by the way, and was PLEASANTLY surprised to see they finally had 3d glasses which would fit my small son Charles. Charles is three years old and loves the story, he goes to pre-school and is probably the smartest kid in his class, but I digress.

After successfully buying the tickets from a lovely boy, I believe his name was Chris S. (if I remember correctly, sorry if I misremembered your name), I was greeted by a cool enticing lobby, that was a kind relief from the heat outside. I sidled up to concessions and was greeted with a smile and a "Can I help you?" It was very exhilarating to be met with such a humanizing and all around wonderful gesture. To be as welcomed and respected as I was made me feel as if I truly was REGAL, which may be why the company is called Regal theaters. My son and I truly felt as if I we were a king and prince about to feast upon the finest foods, and watch some exquisite art. I quickly bought my concessions, a large adequately priced tub of popcorn (if you think about it, a large, REFILLABLE popcorn is worth probably 10 to 15 dollars, so paying only 8 is quite a deal), and two medium soft drinks (also refillable). After being courteously helped by the concessionaire, who's name was Lisa S. I think, my son and I meandered to the wonderfully priced and selected video games, where we shot some baddies before going to our theater.

When we got to our theater it was cleaner than my house, and had more people in it too. It was odd to see so many people in one place all wearing silly looking glasses- hee hee. As we found our seats the movie started and we began our journey into the Toy Story world, the movie did not disappoint. After we left we walked to our car in the well lit and spacious parking lot and exited out the wonderfully designed road to the parking lot.

All around this is probably the best movie theater I have ever been to.

Yeah, well its theater policy to not let people bring in their own food or drink. We dont make money off tickets rarely. most of the profit a theater makes comes from the concessions, thats why we push the concession prices and make sure no one sneaks stuff from home into a theater. plus open cans and other home items like sandwiches are very tideous to clean up. Ushers are paid to clean and pick up movie theater trash, not some cheap ass baptist family who thinks that prices are outrageous. In truth, yes they are, but you are paying those prices so you can enjoy your movie in the present, and for the future movies you see. Therefore by sneaking in food, you are taking the chance of shutting the theater down. Thats why theaters are serious about people sneaking in food

I like this theater because of the stadium seating. Their seats are super comfortable and it doesn't matter who sits in front of you, you can still see.

For the person who said the manager wanted to search her purse, that is illegal and you are crazy to give in to that. I bring my own bottle of water and some kind of snack or sandwich. Once in a while we'll share a tub of popcorn but bringing stuff from home makes the movie more enjoyable because it didn't empty my wallet and I feel I got my money's worth!

I love this movie theater. The management is so helpful, especially this one guy named Brandon. He helped me to my seat and I even saw him carry the concessions of a little old lady while talking about how Jesus has helped him out. I actually went the other night and the one guy, who's name I think is Jimmy, helped me pick out my movie and it was right on the mark. He's so smart. Then there's another one named Kevin and he's just tooooo cute. I can't wait to go back.

I think it is good but needs more scary movies at earlier times. Mostly because on days off people have plans and we want to see movies that are not later in the day because it will interfere with other plans. Also, better candy. They have good candy but not for people who like sour things or gummie things. But I do go all the time with my boyfriend.

I've noticed how mean and unhelpful the staff are, too. I completely agree!!!

06/23/2010

Sorry pickle pie, but i completely disagree with you about the staff. They are all wonderful professional individuals. The fact that your name is something as immature as pickle pie says a little about your general attitude and mental state. Maybe if you weren't an immature 12 year old you wouldn't have problems with the staff. Good luck at other theaters dumbass.

There are one or two people who work here who are very rude. I think one's name is Brandon Myers, avoid him at all costs. He is a very large, uncouth man. The staff in gernerally unhelpful and do not replace the toilet paper in the bathrooms even if you ask them. The food costs to much and the staff regualrly accosts you. I would suggest a differnt theater when at all possible.

This is all very true, I have also had problems with this man. I am not sure of his exact name though.

11/02/2012

brooke3426 sounds like one of those noisy teenagers who gets thrown out for being on their cell phone in the middle of the movie and gets kicked out. I've never had a problem with any of the management staff at Crossroads. They are very professional and do an excellent job maintaining order in the theater.

The theater is awesome and most of the managers are nice. There is one manager that is female with short blond hair. I believe her name is Jesse. Every time I frequent the theater she has something negative to say. She always wants to check my handbag, says I can't stand around although I paid for my movie and bought concessions and sit and wait on my movie. She always asks to see my ticket when I leave the theater to go to restroom and go back. I think she is out to get me, and I go to the movie every week sometimes 2-3 times a week.

I honestly think you are mistaken, i also frequent this movie theatre and that manager has always gone out of her way to help me and my two young boys have a pleasent evening. they have frequently had some people sneaking in from the local high schol and the ticket checking is just a, i think well enforced, company procedure. i have never taken offense to them checking my bag either beacuse of what other people could be capable of with bringing weapons in. my experiences with jesse, erin and chris as well as the other managers have always been pleasent ones.
i wish you the best of luck with your future visits.

Yes! I know what you mean! Last weekend when I was trying to get the photobooth to take my money she came over and told me rudely, "Obviously it is not working, so PLEASE step out of the booth." My friend mumbled "Sorry sir" as a imideate reaction and the lady freaked and said, "Excuse me I am a girl."

03/12/2009

The staff STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

06/22/2010

The purse checking has to be all or none. What are you thinking management?
