Disgusting, Disgusting, Disgusting!!!! This establishment (too emabarrassed to call it a restaurant) is horrible. To start with the waitresses are unfriendly and very slow. The food is a disgrace to anyone, but especially to southern food enthusiasts. I have never had such a bad experience at any restaurant anywhere in the United States of America. The only good thing I had was the salad. Anything that has to be cooked is bland, unseasoned, and delivered cold. This franchise should be packed up and shipped back to where it came from. The place is a total disaster. Can I say " Gordon Ramsey" from Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares etc. need to make a visit to this place and set it straight or close it up. As for the owner, what a joke. Don't you dare make a complaint against anything because he will come raging out the back like a flaming bull. Totally unprofessional, tasteless, and so not worth the time or money. Go down the street to Finch's if you really want southern hospitality and good food. Best advice to this establishment, "Close your doors and run for the hills".

I only gave it a 1 star because I had to rate it. This establishment doesn't deserve to be rated.

You tried to get free food from us, and we refused, you ate it all, then when the bill came asked to see a manager, your refusal to pay was because you felt since you ordered 2 different beverages that you should only pay for one, it doesnt work that way, 2 seperate menu items are charged as 2 seperate items, everything was fine until I refused to remove the item, then everything was horrible, you also forgot to mention that you told me you were going to have me fired, write a letter to the website, and post comments about me all over the internet. This is my place, I do not have to accept rude customers, and if you come in here and refuse to pay each time then what good are you, im certainly not here to give away free food, its is more then ok for you to go elsewhere, i'll stick with people who actually have no problems paying for their food.

Where were you? Not at the Cameron Village location! I went there tonight and it was AMAZING!

Supremely disappointing breakfast. Food wasn't even mediocre . . . just plain bad. Cold, tough buttermilk pancakes, tasteless bacon, dry scrambled eggs, miserable grits. Service was beyond awful, and there were TWO of them; one waiter and one trainee. The decor is fun and lively, but that's no reason to waste money on bad food and service.

I love their shrimp and grits. Mine was hot and yummy. I try not to go during rush time but even if it's crowded I get great service. I waited tables years ago and a happy staff makes it or breaks it for a restaurant and this one's gonna make it for sure.

The Flying Biscuit in Cameron Village is a decent resturant. I usually go when it is not so crowded. I enjoy the biscuits and the cranberry spread.I have had the shrimp and grits, which would of been better is the food was hot. I have also had their breakfast, and their yum yum shrimp wrap. The breakfast was not anything over the top, but simply breakfast, again the food was not hot. The yum yum wrap was okay. The service is always good, and the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

Good food, "interesting" atmosphere.

The food at this place is good, but not great. The biscuits are of course wonderful and the grits are good. For the most part I found that the portions weren't really sized well to match the cost of the food you were getting.

I've been there a lot and really the worst thing about the place is it's always crowded and pretty loud, so if you want to have a decent conversation it's not the best atmosphere. Apparently it's like a mecca for obnoxious trendy types, hipsters, or just wannabes. There is, like most of Cameron Village, an overtone of snootiness amongst some of the diners who worry more about their net worth than their fashion sense.

Overall it's a good place to eat and watch people that you can both make fun of and hate on.

This is one of those truly overrated places that some people seem to love. If biscuits are your thing then maybe this is the place for you. The two times I have been there, I thought the food in general was mediocre and the service was truly lacking. For what you get, It is overpriced and reeks of chain mentality. If a good breakfast is what you are after, I can think of well over a dozen places in Raleigh you would be better off going. If you just want to be seen at a trendy up-scale eatery where you would be better off just getting coffee and a biscuit then you have found your hang-out. Me personally, I won't be going back for another unsatisfactory meal! I'll take taste over place any day of the week.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Decent prices.

I am not sure about the negative reviews...it's possible that some of them were here at a very busy time of day? I have only been here during the non-rush hours (around 3PM each time I've visited) and everything was great. Anyway, I hope it continues to please when I visit. Sorry to the folks that didn't get what they hoped for but I will be back!

HORRIBLE! Bacon was undercooked. The eggs and potatoes are cooked in advance and reheated in the microwave! Total disgrace! The biscuits were dry and stale. The manager is arrogant and disrespectful to women. Don't waste your time.

Thanks for telling the truth. I think the positive reviews are being paid for their comments.
