My wife and I have been to this Movie Theater plenty of times. A $1.50 apiece and not big crowds is a treat. Yes, I did see a few mice, AND I sad Mice NOT RATS. Any place can get mice. It is very nice.
Blue Ridge 14 is a great place to see a movie. The theatres aren't too crowded and it's definitely worth the price of admission. I've never had any problems and have always been pleased with my trip. It's hard to be disappointed when you only spent $1.50!
BEWARE!!!! A lady was ROBBED in their BATHROOM!! SEE THE NEWS FOR YOURSELF!!
I can't find any mention of this on WRAL. Do you have a link to the story you can paste?
i don't know if this story is exaggerated. but this has not been my experience. i have enjoyed all my visits to this theater and find it a good place to take the family (3 and older). maybe you have the wrong theater. if not, i feel bad for you. if i saw a rat, i probably would not return. however, i have been going to this theater for about 8 years.
First off, you provide no evidence. Second off, that doesn't have any bearing on the business itself. I've never been worried or afraid when I went to visit Blue Ridge 14. It always has plenty of people around, and it's definitely worth the price of admission.
nasty it has rats im scared 2 go there one was on my shoes i had 2 hold my feet up the whole time i thought i seen a rat then this woman that i didnt no came and said she seen a rat beside my feet i will not go there anymore and the prices are 2 high i will go to pleasant vally were students get discounts for 525 thank you
All I can say is $3.00 for two to see a new movie that has been out a month or so is unbelievable in this economy. I have been seeing movies there since I moved to Raleigh 8 years ago. My wife and I have NEVER seen a rat, mouse or even a roach. The rest rooms are always clean. The staff is very friendly, the concessions are fresh and they even offer free refills on certain size drinks and corn. There have been some problems with the heat not working, the movie not working properly and unattended children talking loud and misbehaving. Just mention the problem to a manager and it is promptly resolved. I say to the staff and management; Good job and keep up the good work! Parents, please don't drop off your very small children and leave them unattended in PG and higher rated movies, they disturb others and it is not safe for them.
Blue Ridge Cinema is a breath of fresh air in this uncertain economy. This is an opportunity which almost everyone can take advantage of. Thank you to the owners for maintaining your affordable prices. Since I've been trying to budget, our family will either rent movies from the library for free or go to Blue Ridge. It is rare that we will see a first run movie. It's just not worth it when movies come and go so quickly. I don't mind waiting a week or two for a movie to reach Blue Ridge. My only problem is with the small seats. Does anyone know if there are any seats which are larger than others
I've lived in Raleigh for four years. I like the fact that the price is $1.50 but the last time we (my family) went there it wasn't pleasant. Well the movie(The Unborn) me and my husband went in had a strong ,moldy smell and people were talking loudly. The movie(Bolt) my son and his cousin went in was also smelly and he said" people talked through the movie". My son is twelve and he said "the people talking were annoying." We plan on going tonight(4-10-09) and hopefully things will be better. If I'm not pleased, I will not be returning. I spoke with the manager the last time we were there so hopefully he looked into it and corrected the problem. I know the price of a great movie is offered and some people say you get what you pay for , but keeping your business clean is just something you suppose to do. P.S Management: Is it possible to maybe clean your seats monthly? Thank you.
I think it is wonderful that it only cost $1.50!
well, i've been at the theatre and i think that it is cool. i also think that it is the best place to go on a date
I love this theater , I obviously love their prices... I can't understand though how some parents can be so irresponsible as to take their young (and I do mean young children to the R rated or the graphic pg 13 movies ....I feel sick just thinking about it.
I've been going there for years. While it's definitely not the place to impress a first date, it is a good way to see older movies on the big screen without having to worry about regretting the amount of money you spend. PS: I've never seen any rats or blood on the seats..
haha well then stay home and watch a movie in your sterilized house!! as for me--i don't mind dishing out some quarters to see a full-length feature film in a theater! the visual and sound quality can't touch the bigger theaters but i go there at least 2-3 times a month!
One word, GROSS!! I saw with it for myself.
How did this place get an overall 31/2 rating?! It should be a 2 star overall rating!!
