the price is gr8.why pay full price somewhere else when just a few short weeks later,u can see the movie for $1.50? the bathrooms are usually fine unless u go to a weekend matinee;the more kids, the more mess.this is true of ALL theatres.no one has ever been rude to me.people think going to a full price theatre somehow makes them a better person,or something.there are no rats, roaches, pests.i am a medical professional ,and i see nothing to object to.throwing ur money away at rip-off venues is fine if u want to,but dont slam blue ridge because somehow u equate "discount" with "declasse."personally,i would rather save money on things like movies(most of which rarely live up to their hype anyway),and save my money for fine dining and travel.

Perhaps, this person has not been to the Blue Ridge Theatre in 3 years. But, the price is now $2.25 and you very well may be bitten by bed bugs. This is what happened to me on September 5, 2014, and when I contacted the management about it, I was ignored. Also, I would not eat the popcorn because there are sometimes flies in the popcorn output container.

For the price, you can't beat this theater! We go often - and I mean almost every weekend in the summer - and I've never seen rats or bug or anything! It is usually busy on weekend nights but if you go midday or if you go to a movie that's been there for a while, you'll have the place to yourself. We don't buy concessions so I have no comments on those. And yes, the bathrooms aren't great... that's the only thing I can think of. Just go to the bathroom before you leave home! :)

I've been going to this theater for quite some time now. I can only speak on my personal experiences so this I shall say:

1. PRICE: For $1.50 to see movies of all sorts that are only a few months old, you can't beat it.
2. RESTROOMS: I have only used the ladies restroom once, and to my dismay I must agree with the lot of you. There was little to no toilet tissue in ANY stall, water was splashed all over the sinks (probably from teens/children), there was not a drop of soap in any dispenser, and the floor needed a good mopping.
3.FOOD: Their pricing for popcorn/drinks is about the same as any other theater: expensive in my opinion.
4. RODENTS/PESTS: Haven't seen any at all.
5. PARKING: I usually go on weekends and at night.

Now, that being said, allow me this: It's a great price for a great movie that someone else paid $8-9 for elsewhere. The restrooms were in bad need of cleaning when I used them that one time; however, I chalked it up to a busy night/etc. I have since decided to use the restroom before I arrive to avoid such an experience henceforth. As for the food, my boyfriend and I usually eat out before arriving so we're stuffed and in no need of spending unnecessary money. This also prevents us from having to use the atrocious restrooms. I have once or twice broke down and purchased popcorn and a drink from the concessions area; however I saved money by purchasing the Kid's special. It was just enough popcorn to fill my needs and a drink fit to quench my thirst. I have never seen any rodents, rats, pests, flies, nor roaches in this establishment which is a blessing but for those who claim they have all I can say is to be aware that not every movie patron is a hygienist and sometimes may bring pests with them. As for parking, I can only say it does get packed; especially at night. I have never had to park so far back where I've encountered a dumpster but if I had, I wouldn't expect the smell of roses anyway so a reaking smell wouldn't bother me since it is afterall a DUMPSTER. Overall, I give it a 3 star rating. It works for what it's worth. Take from it what you can and work around the mess. Enjoy.

I guess you get what you pay for, but come on!! My family and I went on New Year's Eve. The kids working in this theater were rude and the theater was filthy. No one in the entire theater acknowledged us with a thank you, enjoy the movie, bite my ass or anything. They were a bunch of rude and playful kids. When entering the theater to sit down I immediately wanted to leave. I sat on my coat although I was freezing. I was afraid to sit on the seats and used my cell phone lite to check for anything crawling on the seats. There was hair all over the seats and they were disgusting. I will never go to this theater again without being prepared with a blanket to sit on and prepared for a bunch of rude immature kids working in the establishment.

Okay, I go here all the time and I am usually a tough critic of cleanliness. Perhaps you just went on a bad night, most likely New Years Eve whoever was working wished they weren't and probably weren't serious about being there. Overall the theater isn't super nice but it is a 1.50 cinema, so come on haha...I have always received great service from the concessions stand employees as well as the ushers. This is definitely the best deal as far as seeing a movie goes, even their concession stand prices aren't too crazy. Give it a chance!! :)

I love the price and have only had one overall questionable situation. However, there are a few rules I feel one should apply before embarking on your dollar fifty journey.
1) Pee before hand. The bathrooms have sub par cleaning, smell and last time I checked has more flies than an African country.
2) DONT GO ALONE!
3) If you want to die then eat the popcorn
4) Park in front of the theatre. I had to park behind it one time and when I walked past the dumpster the smell was so rank I swear on the Holy Bible there had to have been a body stashed.
Enjoy!!!

The Blue Ridge theater is great! The low price is great and we can afford to go to the movies nearly every weekend!

Needs to be majorly cleaned or shutdown. Wife got up in middle of movie today because she had 2 roaches crawling up her leg. Daughter went to bathroom and found one on her stomach under her shirt. Went to manager and he would not even apologize for it. Told us to go up front and ask for refund.

I have gone once when I was one of the only people seeing a particular movie that wasn't popular at like 4 pm and by 4:30 had to ask an attendant to start the film. They forgot since I was the only one in that particular screening room!! hahaha. Other than that, I usually have a good experience. The bathrooms are pretty atrocious; doors hanging off the hinge, rarely have soap, water works intermittently. But otherwise, the movie starts on time, the screening rooms are pretty clean (certainly never seen rats), and the other patrons are pretty decent. And for those who find the refreshments overpriced, I must admit I sneak in stuff I bought at the K Mart close by and chow down even though I know I'm not supposed to do this. North Hills Cinema and Blue Ridge charge the highest prices for snacks. I would never get a small coke for $4.50 that you finish in one gulp. No way. Just sneak it in!

We enjoy going to the movies and the discounted ticket. There is a real variety of headliners and the staff are courteous and friendly.

This theater is fine if you wan to see and older movie (one that is likely already on DVD or Blu-Ray), and want nothing to eat or drink. The theater is clearly trying to recuperate its money on the concessions. For about $7.50 you will get a tiny bag of popcorn (which they consider a large). The only way to get a decent sized popcorn is to splurge on the $15 bucket (which is still small but refillable) and the large drink. However, with the $1.50 price for tickets, you can get your monies worth if you go to the theater and see two or more movies and keep getting the bucket refilled. The theaters themselves are small quaint little rooms that have medium sized screens. Some of the screens are dirty but not overly so. The movies start on time and they don't have that annoying screen-vision crap the consolidated theaters do. All and all it is not a bad place to go if you have a large group of friend and family. I give it an average rating.
